Tips: When buying a single ticket for public transportation remember to scan a QR code or enter a designated number („numer boczny” – you can find them inside trams and busses, usually on the walls or windows) in your app, to validate your tickets. You can also purchase tickets inside the vehicles with your card or phone, using the black screens. Simply select the ticket and tap your card or phone to pay – the ticket is assigned digitally to your device. Paper tickets bought at the machines located on the tramway stops need to be validated inside the vehicle, to do that, put them inside small orange machines (ones without the digital screen). Smoking is prohibited on the tram and bus stops, when waiting for a bus, you don’t have to wave your hand – just make yourself visible. Some smaller bus stops are on request („przystanek na żądanie” announcement), simply press the stop button inside the bus. Trams stop at all stations.
